Wow. Just Wow. This thing must of taken months to accomplish. For those of you who aren't familiar with the idea behind automatic mario they're custom Super Mario World levels that end up playing themselves through the use of bounce blocks. Joystiq has compiled a small collection of some of them, you can find them here. Then they sinked automatic mario to anime music.
Then this video was released. Not only is it a 11 minute long anime music mash-up (or I suppose medley is probably the more correct term) that is not only synced with the music but uses the in-game sound effects to compliment it. Turn up your volume and spend the next 11 minutes doing what I did, sitting back, mouth open, and thinking this is bloody awesome.
Blizzard is back in the judicial spotlights as it tries to push for legislation that will allow the company to potentially sue people that violate the EULA by cheating. Blizzard has long been focused on stopping cheaters and those that violate the EULA but this is one more drastic step in leveling the playing field.
Blizzard cites the software bot glider as the primary cheat software in the lawsuit. It helps gamers avoid tedious grinding and leveling. Sources say that the company has sold over 25,000 copies but with an infinite amount of downloader programs and tech savvy WoW users there could be many more users of the software.
If the lawsuit passes blizzard could reap up to $750 per incident of cheating if caught. Several organizations are already touting several dire possible consequences of the lawsuit. Technically if the case wins, selling used media such as games or movies could be illegal. There are several legal loopholes that could help distributors avoid that but it could alter the fundamentals of game ownership.
Blizzard is using the argument that you don't own the game, you just accept a license agreement and they allow you to play. So even though you are holding that physical copy of the game, blizzard says you don't own it. WoW players could have even less to own if this legislation passes as they typically don't own a life either. Many believe that if WoW continues its aggressive litigation battles it may turn off its fan base towards other anticipated games like Age of Conan.

Geoffrey Brooks, along with Jeff Engel, writes a wonderful weekly column for Joystiq by the name of Counting Rupees that deals primarily with, among other things, the business behind gaming. This week they talk about the merits of putting some of the skills you learn through your gaming, such as team work and scheduling with MMOs, etc. Its an interesting article that talks about how to properly address those skills on your resume and some of the ways you can avoid the stigma of gaming and their preconceptions about it that some of the older generations that would be hiring you may have.
