NVIDIA Gets Physical

  "By combining the teams that created the world's most pervasive GPU and physics engine brands, we can now bring GeForce®-accelerated PhysX to hundreds of millions of gamers around the world." stated Jen-Hsun Huang, president and CEO of NVIDIA.

While physics cards were not looking to good at first, they were given a false hope when their SDK was included in the PS3 and Unreal Tournament 3 (UT3). Their dream of market relevance has been crushed, due to the slow sales of UT3.  So now the wait it on for when the GeForce series will have the Physics Processor Unit on-board.  Hopefully this will also boost the physics concept into common games. Right now the Ageia card is perceived as an "extra add on card" and not mainstream.
