I know most of you have heard me rant and rave over this monitor, so I wanted to make it official and declare that it turned out to be a great investment. The hinging factor has been their newly released drivers. Not only have they fixed a lot of bugs, but they added some needed functionality improvements to the way it works. I know it sounds vague, but I don't like to dwell on the negative and wont bore you with what was wrong before. After getting the new drivers, I had to really drag race this thing and see some of my old favorite games (list of supported games ). In Supreme Commander, I noticed only a few enhancements like the aerial units were much more alive and stood out better amongst the background so much better. TF2 and HL2 games also have 3D support and the games I played with it, I noticed now how the crosshairs on my gun would float out in front of me and gave a better feel for distance and really enhanced the immersion into the game. Bioshock was one game that I couldn't wait to try again. It was absolutely amazing in true 3D especially when that Big Daddy comes storming out at you or the Splicers jump out in front of you the sphinxter pucker factor was an order of magnitude tighter. I did notice a bit of frame loss in HL2 and Bioshock, but it wasn't bad with my 8800 and worth it to see it through the 3D goggles!
The technology behind this monitor is pretty amazing also. Check out the specs in their monitor manual and scroll to the bottom to understand how it works compared to older software 3d trials. Available on Newegg at reduced price , IZ3D monitor is all that and a bag of chips.
