3 Point Games - Age of Conan

For all of you that are sick of WoW and Guildwars and all the other MMO's that don't give the satisfaction of decapitating people, your time is finally up. Age of Conan is a new MMO that has been in the makes for years, geared towards savage yet intricate fighting based on the Lore of Conan the Barbarian.

While definitely geared towards combat it doesn't forget about questing or role development. You can play as one of 12 different classes. The classes range from the typical assassins and barbarians to the different classes such as the demonologist and dark templar. You also progress through 80 levels which gives much more character development than other games such as GuildWars.

But what sets Conan apart is its combat system. You select where you want to attack, how you string the combos, what techniques and stances you use all to provide a much less monotonous button mashing combat system. The game also has several pvp modes such as PvP mini games and epic battles. You can also fight to protect your town or go raze other guild villages.

The game certainly sets itself up great for the FPS but not quite MMO player or the "Oh my god I have to collect 80 raptor claws even though the drop rate is only 5% and it boosts my XP only 1% for 28 hours of playtime b/c I'm lvl 69 and apparently the WOW gods do not fortune me." Sorry about the rant, but as a previous and dissatisfied WoW and Guildwars player, Age of Conan; Hypborian Adventures should prove to satisfy my MMO bloodlust. If not come find me in TF2 and I'll burn you.
