Several UK residents noticed something very odd about their new Dell Vostro 1310 laptops.  Dell repositioned the Z key one key over.  It turns out the keyboard mistake wasn't limited to only a few unlucky UK residents but virtually everyone that bought the unit in the UK.  The keyboard issue was found on Vostro 1310 and 1510.

Dell later issued a statement that they misshaped a limited number of units but that was proven to be false by unconfirmed sources.  One can safely assume that Dell's refurbished manufacturer will have a very large stack of notebooks that will have to be fixed for free.

One of the customers by the name of Jake Gordon posted pictures of the unit and also put some notes and updates about his exchange process.  At one point they told him that the keyboard issue was related to the motherboard and not the keyboard, even though the keyboard has misplaced keys.  Also Mac users took to typing as fast as they could, bombarding the guys site telling him how much better Macs are.  This is another reason that Dell should go up in flames and Mac users have more of an ego than hybrid driving residents of South Park.  Smug alerts anyone?
