For those of you who have already been lucky enough to play what many consider to be the greatest RPG of all time, Nintendo is porting over Chrono Trigger to the Nintendo DS.  Now another generation gets the chance to play with Chrono and the gang as the bounce around time saving the world.

There is no release date yet, and the American website is yet to be up, but excitement is growing greatly by the second.  Official sources have said that the game will make use of the touch screen, although no one knows if the touch screen will be for primary movement or if it adds a new game play mechanic.

For those of you who haven't played it, the game focuses on Chrono and the friends he meets along the way as they go from the distant past to the ruined future trying to repair time and stop Lavos.  You can play and enjoy the game with every character and every party combination possible which allows for some great replay, Although no party combination beats Chrono, Lucca, and Frog.  So if you have a DS and need a great game, definitely start drooling for this one soon.
