I would not mind trying it out, but I'm not sure I would really use them that often. It wouldn't depend on the class. What classes were you thinking?

There's a reason VALVe didn't put nades in TF2. They are extremely annoying and generate an unnecessary amount of spam. I think their should be more focus on trying to balance the mods out a little more before just adding new ones on a whim.

When you play on a server with 31 people of course there are going to be people that just "spam" in the hopes of getting a kill. Playing on dustbowl on the second set is a perfect example of this. However, giving more classes the ability to chuck explosives everywhere would just amplify this, yes?

I agree with Scotch.

But, we get spam mainly because of the 100% crits. Spam a few rockets in a bunker and you got yourself a kill.

Trust me, I've been to a lot of regular servers too and there is not nearly as much spamming going on.

I was thinking about creating class grenades from scratch instead of replicating the old school tfc ones.

Like medics have a grenade that will drain uber charge or engineers have nades that disable dispensers and sentry guns. I will also make it so you can only get the grenade after getting so many kills in a row or having to use up metal or uber charge to spawn a nade or make it so the dispensers are the only devices that produce grenades.

That sounds so cool. Please make it so.

The trick I've found with nades is that you try to karem off 3 or 4 surfaces and hit the enemy. Nothing is more satisfying laugh.gif

Most people die within a couple kills-- so having to get alot of kills would provide more incentive to cheat/hack.

Hell, there's even a model already buried in the TF2 files that needs a texture and some other work.

Sort of off topic but regarding to spamming, I'm the one that thinks people should lose points for "spy checking" and shooting teammates.

So to all those pyros that constantly flame around sentry guns and dispensers and teammates, they would get a score like -50.

Kind of like FF on, but only your score is affected, not your teammates' lives.
