"I am Heavy Weapons Guy, and I have new new GUN! Sure, it is expensive, but worth it. No one can outrun my PORTAL! HAHAHA, you have nothing!"
As our fearless leader, KevLar, said: "Let the Science escape!"
Join our main man, Pawn, and other 3pg'ers for a bit of mayhem this Sunday May 16 at 3pm PST for our next round of testing Aperture Science's neat gun in our beloved world of TF2.
Join us on our TeamSpeak channelprior to the event, and the details on how to connect to the Game Server will be provided to the first 32 people there! (Similar to the Captain's Night rules: participation, friend invites, passwords, etc are all coordinated through TS.)
According to the date on the source code, I started working on Team Portress about an hour after I saw that Portal 2 was coming out. I had planned on doing the public test during Captains Night on May 1, but the TF2 update a few days earlier broke the TF2Items extension and killed that plan. Team Portress relies heavily on TF2Items, but the folks at Allied Modders were able to repair the extension enough to make the portalgun work again. We were finally able to do our first public test on May 7, which is most of what you see in the video.
You have to check out Wolfire.com's offer to support indie developers by playing their games and have them give back all to the procedes to two popular foundations we gamers should be familiar with by now. Your contribution to this package helps support the amazing Child's Play charity and Electronic Frontier Foundation. By default, the amount is split equally between the seven participants (including Child's Play and EFF), but you can tweak the split any way you'd like.
I am busy man... I shoot sissies for a living. This is what I do. I shoot big gun at little babies sent to fight me. They die, I laugh. I live dream.
Before running through Hoodoo again, Medic came to me and asked if I had seen movie about blue people. Medic was raving and waving his bone saw saying how wonderful it was. I thought I would lose finger. He is a great doctor, but accidents happen. He asked if we watch it. I asked if Natasha could join us. He looked at me with his eyebrow face. I am not big fan of that face, but it is not like I have fluffy rabbit I carry everywhere. I ask what we are watching. Medic says Avatar.
I think this is joke. Isn't avatar german for penis? I fall for this joke only once I tell Medic. He gives me eyebrow face again. I must be wrong about penis thing. Avatar name of movie.
So we watch movie. I LAUGHED. Doctor cried. I LAUGHED AGAIN (this time at Doctor.)
When movie starts with floating men and boring blahblah I ask myself, what am I watching? I need explosions! Is this a girl movie? I sit and polish Natasha. Ooooh. What is that? Big robot with big gun? I must have one. I make note to talk to engineer about big robot with a big gun after movie over.
Movie ok. I cannot get over big guns. And guess what? The sissies win! I was mad. Furry cat things win. With no big guns!
Not my kind of movie. I go find BLU scout and pretend he cat boy. I beat him with his own leg bone. I feel much better.
