returntocastlewolfenstein Announced at Quakecon 2007: id Software’s CEO, Todd Hollenshead revealed plans for their second video game-to-feature film project: Return to Castle Wolfenstein.  The story follows a US Ranger who infiltrates a shadowy paranormal experiment orchestrated by Himmler.

The rights to the Wolfenstein property were originally picked up by Sony, but reverted back to franchise creator id Software.  Producer Samuel Hadida stepped in and secured the rights and will be working again with Roger Avary who will write and direct the live action motion picture.  Hadida is no stranger to producing video game related titles like Resident Evil and worked with Avary most recently on another game-related hit, Silent Hill

Well Blizzcon started up today and the new World of Warcraft Expansion has officially been announced, for all you guessing Northrend you were right. Wrath of the Lich King is the official title, no release date as of yet, but Blizzcon has only just started so I'll see if i can fish anything up tonight after the first day. There is how ever a pamphlet that's going around with some of the new features on there, including the first class expansion.

Some of the highlights you will learn more about at BlizzCon:

* The dark, necromatic Death Knight, the first new character class added to World of Warcraft since its launch.
* Northrend, the harsh, icy continent where the Lich King holds rule, complete with new zones, quests, items and monsters.
* New level cap of 80 providing access to mighty new powers and talents
* New battlegrounds featuring siege engine warfare and destructible buildings
* Expanding character customization options including new hairstyles & dances, the ability to change the hairstyles of existing characters, and new skin color variants.

The pamphlet can been attributed so Teza over at World of Raids and you can keep up with Blizzcon on many sites but I'm favoring Wow Insider .

World in Conflict (RTS) is gearing up for release in late September with an open beta starting July 11th.  I recently watched a kick'n six minutes trailer with Massive Entertainment's president Martin Walfisz explaining how you play the game including gameplay and CGI footage.  I uploaded a Hi-Res copy of it on 3 Point Games, here.

I tried signing up for the open beta on this official site but its not available to residents of the US. Cry

Anyway, the game looks sweet from the video and descriptions I have read.   If anyone knows where to get signed up to the beta (without pre-ordering), please post in our forums. (use the comment button below).  Thanks.
