I wanted to thank everyone who attended our first TF2 Captains Night.  It was a great success with about 40 people lined up ready to be picked for a team.  We almost had enough at one point to run two servers with four captains.   We got some great suggestions for improving the server and tweaking some of the fun mods we run.  Everyone who participated got a 1 month reserved slot to all our game servers here on 3 Point Games.  We also duplicated the server to another one just like it so everyone out there can enjoy WoZeR's awesome modifications .  

Special Shout Out goes to Feared Gamers and 6th Armored Division for posting the event on their site and rounding up their clan/community members to frag with us. 

Great Games were had by all and we expect to make this a tradition.  

3 Point Games is going to be resurrecting on old tradition we used to do in NS - Captains Night. 

Basically, we all get on TeamSpeak and elect two captains who will take turns picking  people for their team.  Players will move to separate channels in TeamSpeak, choose their class and prepare their strategy for the round.   The game begins when everyone types "ready" .  When that round is won, we switch sides and play again with the same team before picking teams again and doing another map.  

We will be using the 2x Crit server and all its fun mods.  The server will be passworded and only people in TeamSpeak will be given the password.

Looking to get a high end GeForce 8 for Christmas?  You might want to hold off for a couple months with the GeForce 9 series on the horizon.  The lack of competition in the graphics card market has sadly led to a content Nvidia.  Nvidia has split from its strategy for the GeForce 7 and 8, releasing a high-end card for Christmas and mid-end cards the following year, and will not be releasing the GeForce 9 this Christmas.  Instead, Nvidia will be release a new batch of mid end GeForce 8 cards this Christmas and the GeForce 9 cards later next year.  So if you want to run your new games at the highest graphical options (or even Vista), I would suggest you hold off on the horde of mediocre cards coming out this holiday season.
